Q: When was the first time you came to Still?
A:That would have been 2012, in the fall, I was meeting some friends here for a night out on the town. I didn't really know these people, it was a new group of friends I was trying to make. We sat in the corner, over near the bathrooms, and it was a mystery night out.
They weren't telling any of us what we were going to do! So we met here and had a couple drinks, it was great, and then they took us to this terrifying nightclub that was down in Westlake Center. Pink or something I think it was called?
Q: Pink! My old roommate used to work there.
A: Oh my god, we went in there and it was horrifying. That whole night was horrible. Except for here. (Still)
Q: How long have you lived in Seattle?
A: I am in my 12th year in Seattle
Q: Do you have a favorite seat at the bar?
A: I don’t know what the numbers are, but I assume it is seat one!
Q: Actually it’s seat twelve, but... now we’ll call it seat one.
A: Right by the well.
Q: If you could talk in your sleep what would you say?
A: I’d probably just say Jameson, over and over again.
Q: And that moves us to the next question, what is your drink of choice?
A: Jameson, with light rocks.
Q: Fill in the blank... When I dance, I look like_____?
A: (long pause) Shit, uh, hopefully a former dancer because that’s what I am! But probably more like Elaine from Seinfeld. I’m a little terrified of which one that might be.
Q: Tell me about your favorite sports...
A: Oh, football. Love the football. Go Seahawks! Also I really enjoy baseball and hockey, pretty much most sports with the exception of golf, I don’t understand why that is even considered a sport.... Its very slow! Except for the golf cart, I like to drive the golf cart. And I like to play the bowling, even if I am not good at it.
Q: Where would you go if you were invisible?
A: Where would I go if I was invisible? If I was invisible, I would probably go to some famous restaurant, or bar, just to see how they operate, The French Laundry in California, or a super creepy old bar in New Orleans or New York, just to see if all the rumors were true, how they operate.
Q: Are you celebrating anything today?
A: Yes. I am celebrating the end of projects I’ve been working on for a year and half, and moving into a new adventure with my own company called Wonderland Projects, and I’m excited to do that.
So the second time I ever came to still, and part of the projects I was working on, was when I became an employee next door at Melrose Market Studios, as the Director of Sales and Operations. After my first day I came over to have a little cocktail and meet the bar manager, to talk to her about events.
Q: I dont think I was there that day!
A: No, you were not, I met Courtney, no one told me your name, they just told me there was a girl next door who was the manager, so I assumed it was Courtney, because she was the girl working next door.
So I worked next door for the last year and a half at Melrose Market Studios as well as at the Cloud Room and Agnes Underground. I just wrapped that up and moving on to the next thing, I am really excited.
